We are John & Sandra Green of Invercargill, New Zealand. We have been involved with owning & exhibiting Beagles for 20 years. We are a small kennel with never more than six dogs at home. We originally started with Merrybrook bloodlines but have since introduced Rallydon and Clarion bloodlines from Australia through importing and exchanging dogs with our Australian friends.  Most recently we have introduced some Finnish and American lines to our gene pool with the help of Eeva Resko of 'Daragoj' Beagles in Finland.

Professional handling is not permitted in New Zealand and all of our dogs are owner handled. Two of our dogs have achieved the title of NZ Grand Champion, only five beagles have achieved this title since it was introduced in 1988. In all, we have had 6 different dogs go on to become Allbreeds Best In Show winners.

In addition to our interest in Beagles we also have also been involved in the introduction of the Petit Basset Griffon Vendeen breed to New Zealand in 1998. In  partnership with Martin & Wendy Hewitt of Christchurch, we have imported from the U.K. the first three of this breed into New Zealand.

As well as being kept busy with family, our dogs, showing, and work, we are both involved in Club administration and judging. John is licensed to judge All Hounds, Terriers, and Gundogs, and has judged throughout NZ and in three states of Australia. Sandra is five years into her judging career and is currently judging at Open Show and Parade level.

We would like to acknowledge the help and support that Kathy & Ron Dunstan (Rallydon Beagles, Australia), Truda & Cyril Mawby (Clarion Beagles, Western Australia),  Elizabeth Middleton-Kersey (Merrybrook Beagles, N.Z.) and most recently Eeva Resko (Daragoj Beagles, Finland) have given us in obtaining and breeding our Beagles.
